TNT Omnium and Track League – Feb 23rd

🧨 Tuesday Night Track on RGT 🧨
This week starts simple but there's a twist in the plot.
First we have a classic track Scratch. No crit courses, just 25 laps of the Hulshout velodrome, first to the line.
For the Sprint we're trying the Kilo again but now on a custom-built course by Samir, which is a single oval with plenty of room for power.
The ITT is a short and easy one. Flat, 3.6km on the Longchamps course made by Rosser.
All good so far - here's the tricky bit. Race 4 is an Elimination Points race.
So it will be an Elimination format with three riders out every second lap. But the Elimination order doesn't count. I will be manually scoring and awarding a point to the rider who initiates each Elimination lap, and for the final three there will be bonus points - 5 for the win, 3 for second, 2 for third. The final ranking will be on accumulated points, so theoretically a rider could win 15 points and then be eliminated in 20th place, and win the race if nobody scores more points. But of course staying in the race means more opportunity to score. Do you try for multiple lap points, or wait and gamble on the final lap bonus?
It's new and different so let's see if it works.
As ever, results will be on RGTdb.com and the first three races will be used in the RGTdb ranking system. Sign up to all four races for the Omnium on the night, and top 10 in each race go into the monthly Track League.
