Small print

(a) Four events in an Omnium format where results are based on finishing position across all races. Race 1 is a Tempo race using the Elimination format, where placing depends on winning lap points, not your elimination timing. Race 2 is a simple Scratch race over 5km. Race 3 is a Flying Lap. Pure power over a single 250m lap. Race 4 is an Elimination race or Devil, riders are eliminated every second lap until only three remain. Note that in the event of a tie in the Omnium, finishing order in Race 4 will be the decider. We're using two magic road courses based at Izu, the home of Japan's famous Keirin school. The Elimination race uses a magic road based on Herne Hill Velodrome. The track relies solely on event income and support from the cycling community so if you would like to show your appreciation please consider making a donation to the Friends of the HHV trust. (b) Race individually or as a team of up to 8 riders. Register your team membership HERE. No team, no problem. Let us know you are interested and we will try to find you one!
(c) Race one lap of the Fuji Speedway Time Trial Circuit with up to 8 riders. 3rd rider to cross the finish line stops the clock. Set up and race anytime during the week (Magic Road code: Lz12YkUM4x2z; ask us to set up your event if needed). Submit your event code/results HERE.
(d) Complete all sections of the Men's Road Race as a Gran Fondo event in one day or throughout the week.

GC and Team GC competition

* An individual and team GC will be compiled using the USA Crits points system.
* The team GC adds the points of the top-3 riders of each team for each race day and includes all events.
* The individual GC excludes the team time trial and team road race events.
(NOTE) The 4 track cycling stages count as only 1 race day for the GC competition.
(NOTE) 20 points will be awarded to each rider for each completed segment of the Gran Fondo, with an additional 100 points awarded if all stages are completed within 24hrs.
(NOTE) Riders may skip race days.
(NOTE) Riders must be registered with a team (HERE) before the start of the first race day to be included in the team GC.
The organisers will attempt to update GC results before the start of the next race day. Do keep in mind that given the complexity and variety of events some manual labour (i.e. a little time) is required to compile overal GC results.

Policy

$ Bullying, any form of foul language or unsportmanlike behaviour will not be accepted and will lead to immediate exclusion from future ikigai events.

ENJOY, RIDE HARD AND RACE FAIR!
