TNT Omnium and Track League – Jan, 19

It’s Italian for Surprise. We start in Tuscany but there are even bigger surprises in store as we experiment with the format. Race 1 is a standard Scratch but on a slightly longer 2km Crit circuit near Florence, with plenty of turns and some long straights. 4 laps. Race 2 also follows one of our standard races, a flat out sprint - single lap blast on the 380m Hulshout velodrome. Then it goes a bit weird... Race 3 is a brand new race, never tried on track or online... a TT Devil on Canary Wharf. “What? How does that work Chris?”Well TBH I’m not sure myself but I’m guessing that it will mean pacing yourself to stay ahead but not blow up. It’s scheduled for 10 riders out per lap, no neutral. After all that excitement there’s even more. Race 4 is a Lottery Scratch. You can join Race 4A, the 10 lap version... or Race 4B the 20 lap version. But you don’t know who’s in which race. Should you go short and save your energy, or go long and hope to hang on. Both will count to the Omnium but you can only do one. There’s nothing a trackie loves more than obscure rules and complicated formats, so get with the programme ! Join up to all 4 (but ONLY 4) for the Omnium.
