Vive Les Femmes 4: Deignan (Pacific)

04-02 23:05

65.37 km
973 m / 963 m

This is the Pacific edition of the Vive Les Femmes. Results count as stage finishes but do not count towards GC, and points do not count toward rankings Today's race visits the steep dirt roads of the Champagne region. We start in Bar sur Seine, with an intermediate sprint only 3 km in, leaving Merrey-sur-Arce. The climbing fun begins soon after, with five GPMs out of seven, occasionally steep climbs. Then it's a twisting descent into Bar-sur-Aube for the final sprint. Today's stage honors Lizzie Deignan (formerly Armistead), a British racer with a long career of racing success, including a dominant win at the first-ever Paris-Roubaix femmes. With the multiple gravel sectors in today's route, it is dedicated to her."
